It’s officially day one of our leap year, which began with a leisurely 11 a.m. breakfast with Tamara’s mom and Jay — who made these awesome hash browns. This first week is being spent with family across California before we fly to La Paz next Monday. We finally were able to sleep past 4:30 a.m. The past week or so has been filled with a mix of stress, excitement, anxiety and oral typhoid vaccine, so it’s nice to finally relax.
